Meet the Team

Master France Pruter
Master France Pruter is a highly accomplished martial artist, coach, and mentor with over 30 years of experience. A 7th Degree Black Belt, she is a former U.S. National Champion and U.S. Open Gold Medalist, known for her dynamic teaching style, discipline, and strong leadership. She is the founder of Pruter’s Taekwondo.
Before her Taekwondo journey, Master Pruter spent five years studying Judo. Her passion for martial arts was deeply influenced by her father, a black belt in both Judo and Jiu-Jitsu, who served on the All-Marine Judo Team. His example laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to martial arts, discipline, and service.
Master Pruter holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and is a former Kansas City Missouri Police Officer, giving her a unique perspective on personal safety, discipline, and community values — principles she weaves into every class.
She is a USA-Taekwondo Level One Certified Coach and holds certifications as a Youth Fitness Specialist and Youth Speed and Agility Specialist, enabling her to take a well-rounded, developmental approach with students of all ages.
Master Pruter is passionate about empowering others to grow in confidence, strength, and character. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, she inspires each student to reach their highest potential — both inside and outside the school.

Master Kevin Pruter
Master Kevin Pruter is the founder of Pruter’s Taekwondo, bringing over three decades of experience in martial arts instruction, competition, and youth development. A 7th Degree Black Belt, Master Pruter is known for his passion for teaching and his dedication to helping students of all ages grow in skill, confidence, and character.
He is a former U.S. National Champion, a USA-Taekwondo Level Two Certified Coach, and a World Taekwondo Level 1 Coach. As an elite-level coach, he has produced U.S. Open Champions, National Champions, Collegiate Champions, National Team Members, and International Medalists and Champions, guiding athletes to success on both national and global stages.
Master Pruter holds a B.A. in History from MidAmerica Nazarene University and a Diploma in Biblical Studies from the Shepherd School of Ministry. He also holds certifications as a Youth Fitness Specialist and Youth Speed and Agility Specialist, reflecting his commitment to the physical and personal development of young athletes.
With a rare combination of technical expertise, competitive experience, and a heart for mentorship, Master Pruter leads by example—empowering students to reach their full potential both on and off the mat.

Master Tasha Pruter
Master Tasha Pruter is a 5th Degree Black Belt, accomplished international competitor, and certified Level One USA-Taekwondo Coach with a deep passion for developing athletes and leaders through martial arts. She holds a B.A. in Communication with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She is also certified as a Youth Fitness Specialist and Youth Speed and Agility Specialist, blending technical expertise with athletic development.
She spent over three years living in Miami, Florida, where she trained under Olympic Coach Juan Moreno — a pivotal time that helped sharpen her skills and shape her high-performance training mindset.

As a coach, she has served at the AAU National Team Trials, mentoring athletes at the highest levels of national competition. Known for her powerful presence, attention to detail, and motivating leadership, Master Tasha combines world-class experience with a passion for helping students grow in
excellence — both on the mat and in life.

Master Hans Pruter
Master Hans Pruter is a 5th Degree Black Belt with a strong background in both competitive Taekwondo and academic achievement. He has over a decade of experience as an athlete, instructor, and leader, and he brings a high level of precision, focus, and dedication to every class he teaches.
He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Communication Studies from the University of Missouri–Rolla (Missouri S&T), where he also served as President of the Missouri S&T Taekwondo Club. He later earned his MBA from Emporia State University, combining his analytical skills with leadership and strategic thinking.
As a competitor, Master Hans is a 10-time State Champion, a medalist at both the USA Taekwondo and AAU National Championships, and an international medalist at prestigious events including the U.S. Open, Canada Open, and Global Open.
Master Hans is passionate about helping students develop the discipline and mental sharpness that Taekwondo offers. His competitive insight and academic approach make him a valuable mentor for students aiming to excel in both martial arts and life.

Mrs. Michaela Pruter
Mrs. Michaela Pruter began her Taekwondo journey at the age of 10, training alongside her sister, cousins, and uncle — a true family tradition. She earned her 1st Degree Black Belt in 2011 and began teaching at Pruter’s Taekwondo in 2013, quickly becoming a valued instructor known for her warmth, patience, and attention to detail.
She is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and a graduate of the University of Central Missouri, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2020. That same year, she married Hans Pruter.
Mrs. Michaela brings a nurturing yet disciplined approach to her teaching, creating a positive and structured learning environment for students of all ages. Her passion lies in helping children and families grow in confidence, respect, and perseverance — both on and off the mat.

Mr. Eagan Kirk
Mr. Eagan began his Taekwondo journey at Pruter’s Taekwondo at the age of 4, training alongside his family. He is a second-generation black belt, with both of his parents and his sister earning their black belts at Pruter’s, continuing a strong family legacy in martial arts.
He earned his black belt alongside his family and is now a 3rd Degree Black Belt pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at Iowa State University, where he is an active member of the Iowa State Martial Arts Club and Phelps Taekwondo.

He began teaching at Pruter’s in 2018 and continues to share his passion and skills whenever he is home from school. His dedication to Taekwondo—as a competitor, instructor, and role model—makes him a valued part of the Pruter’s Taekwondo community.

Mrs. Mykala McIntyre
Mrs. Mykala began her Taekwondo journey at Pruter’s in 1998, training alongside her brother and cousins. She earned her black belt in 2001, marking the start of a lifelong connection to the martial art.
After focusing on family, Mrs. Mykala returned to Taekwondo in 2021, training alongside three of her four daughters. Two of her daughters have already earned their black belts, and her third daughter is scheduled to test for her black belt in May of 2026. Mrs. Mykala successfully tested for her 2nd Degree Black Belt in 2022.
Her commitment to Taekwondo and family continues to inspire students of all ages, showing the power of perseverance and tradition.

Mr. Pacey
Mr. Pacey began his Taekwondo journey at the age of 4, becoming the third generation in his family to earn a black belt at Pruter’s Taekwondo. His grandfather, parents, and brother have all proudly achieved their black belts, making Taekwondo a strong family tradition.
Currently a 2nd Dan Black Belt, Mr. Pacey is dedicated not only to his own training but also to helping others grow. He actively assists in teaching classes, where his experience and enthusiasm motivate younger students to develop their skills and confidence.
Outside the the taekwondo school, Mr. Pacey is a senior at Lee’s Summit West High School, where he excels in athletics as a lacrosse and football player. His commitment to teamwork, discipline, and leadership on and off the mat reflects the core values of Taekwondo.
Mr. Pacey’s blend of athleticism, family heritage, and teaching dedication make him an integral part of the Pruter’s Taekwondo community.

Ms. Falon
Ms. Falon began her Taekwondo journey at Pruter’s, continuing a family tradition that includes her two cousins and her uncle, all of whom earned their black belts at the school. She achieved her own black belt in May of 2022, marking an important milestone in her training.
Since then, she has advanced to 2nd Degree Black Belt and continues to develop her skills while also assisting in classes. Her encouragement and leadership help younger students build confidence and strong martial arts foundations.
Currently a sophomore in high school, Ms. Falon balances her studies with her dedication to Taekwondo, serving as both a role model and an active part of the Pruter’s Taekwondo community.

Ms. Savannah
Ms. Savannah began her Taekwondo journey at the age of 6, starting in the Future Kids Program at Pruter’s. She demonstrated determination and discipline early on, earning her black belt at just 10 years old.
After taking a break from training, Savannah returned to Taekwondo at the age of 15 with renewed passion and commitment. In May of 2025, she successfully tested for her Recommended 2nd Degree Black Belt.
A junior in high school, Savannah aspires to become a teacher and brings that same spirit of guidance to Pruter’s by helping with both the Future Kids and Junior Classes. Her patience, encouragement, and dedication make her a positive role model for younger students.
Savannah’s journey reflects the values of perseverance and leadership, and she continues to be an inspiring part of the Pruter’s Taekwondo community.

Mr. Oliver
Mr. Oliver began his Taekwondo journey at Pruter’s at the age of 4, graduating from our Future Kid’s Program before moving into the Junior Program. He earned his 1st Poom Black Belt at just 8 years old, showcasing his dedication and skill from a young age.
Currently, Mr. Oliver is a recommended 3rd Poom Black Belt and actively helps teach the Future Kid’s classes, inspiring younger students through his example and enthusiasm for Taekwondo

Ms. Mary
Ms. Mary started Taekwondo at age 8, training alongside her mom and two sisters. She is proud to be a second-generation black belt at Pruter’s Taekwondo—her mother and uncle earned black belts in 2001, and Mary earned hers alongside her sister, continuing the family tradition.
Currently a recommended 2nd Poom Black Belt, Ms. Mary helps with the Future Kids classes, bringing enthusiasm and encouragement to the youngest students as they begin their Taekwondo journey.

Ms. Olivia
Ms. Olivia started Taekwondo when she was 9 years old. She earned her 1st Degree Black Belt in November 2024 and currently helps with the Future Kids Classes.
She is encouraging and positive, and enjoys helping younger students as they begin their Taekwondo journey.
